Julie Goes To The Common

1981-1982

Julie baked a Greenham cake
but wimmin in a teepee
said:"get that poison out of here,
we're animal fat and milk free."

Julie grabbed her cake and ran
she'd hoped that she'd be praised
and sing of revolution, but
instead she felt erased.

Julie held her shameful cake
then cut herself a slice
her Greenham dreaming scuppered by
the champions of brown rice
