The Kanaka Ranger

"Who am I?"
The man at Mauna Kea base asked rhetorically,
Gazing off in the distance...

Hale o Kuhio:
A small structure painted scarlet,
Near a KAPU sign...

"I am just one person but"...
The Kanaka Ranger shrugged,
"We wait and wait for our homelands"...
