Till Death

Two brothers share their lives,
do not marry, garden together,
unearthing nature's beauty
until both grow too ill to tend.
Wilting inwards, they make a pact
and with two bullets goes the soil,
the seed, the bloom that made
a town smile.  Two brothers'
blood feeds the hungry ground.
How quickly the weeds grow.
How hard they are to cut away.
Yes, the world is overgrown
with the fear of what it is
to slowly fade away.
