Justice and the Beast

The scales of justice
Tipped in favour
Of depravity

Evil spat in the face of courage
And walked free.

If heaven holds a place
For those who pray
What does hell reserve
For those who don’t?

  1. Shocking and sad. Good write Maeve!

  2. Many thanks. Indeed so shocking but hopefully justice will still prevail in this case.

  3. Shocking indeed, Maeve. Thankfully, public opinion won the day. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Well done, Maeve.
A cruel irony now is that while much has been made of the Judge's later apology, the suspension of 9 years remains.
Justice is only as fair as those who dispense it.

  5. Thank you all for your responses. Hopefully this brave lady has paved the way for others in similar circumstances to come forward and keep fighting for the justice they deserve.

  6. A great picture of what happened, the words really strike home, love it.

  7. May the fighters for justice continue to blaze a trail and put the so called justice systems to shame until it does its job.

    Beautifully said Maeve!!!

  8. Mary, Mari and Bernadette many thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Yes, voices must continue to shout and be heard.
