Can You Sight-Read This In 10 Seconds?

In the time it takes

to skim a ten line poem

he springs from the blocks

as his legs and arms shove

his heartbeat ahead

of all the singletted others

until beyond the tape

he raises one finger,

but it was in this time

what we read in replays

is what his rhythm made.

  1. Hello Bob,
Well done on being so up to date.
    The format is interesting.
Should it be only 10 lines to suit
the subject or have I missed a beat?
