The Tragedy of Obama and Boehner

Barack and bill
Went up the Hill
To try to save the dollar;
Talks broke down
Between the clowns
And markets tumbled after.

  1. Looks like the clowns finally got their act together:

    Fingers crossed they can play nicely for the next 24 hours . . .

  2. Perfect. I only wish I had thought of it! Well done.

  3. Cheers, Martin. Which side is going to come out on top, I wonder?

  4. You still are not permitted to tax the really wealthy in the USA. Seems silly to us who have real unemployment relief and a decent universal medical system that has not brought the country to its knees. They say you get the government you deserve but with so called information arriving via the Murdock press, who has unbiased information any more!!

  5. Thank you for your comments. I have been away from the computer for a couple of days, and it was a pleasure to come back to them. I'm glad people seemed to like the poem.

    When I saw the US debt visualisation graphics I was also delighted to discover I am not a greedy person - just one (or maybe two) of those pallets of hundred dollar bills would do me. Or maybe I just lack financial imagination . . .

  6. Great poem Anthony and thanks to Broken Biro for sharing the link - fascinating in an incredibly scary way.
