Renaissance Men

As Davey and Will did their thuggery
And George sat and smirked in his smuggery,
The Office for Art
Did its humble wee part,
And cut British culture to buggery.

  1. Ah, yes, its humble wee part. Our side of the pond, Alex Ross doesn't put the case so poetically, but it makes the point: "Here in America, meanwhile, arts funding has been cut from nada to zilch." Why is it that where I'd like my taxes to go most, they go least?
