To A Library Facing Withdrawal of Funding

Shall all thy fusty books and dusty shelves
Be let alone, to store the wastrel word
Of those who failed to educate themselves
For usefulness in banking? How absurd
To hope that we might wish thee to live on!
Thou art not profitable; get thee gone.

  1. Good one, and great photo to match. ("Detox Your finances," just to mention one priceless title.)

  2. Thanks. The photo was supplied courtesy of the management.

  3. Ey thenk you! Taken with my own fair hands (& camera)... I don't do this for everyone you know

  4. This is excellent, and very applicable to Canada, too!
